Wrought Iron Trellises

Wrought iron trellises can be made into a dizzying variety of styles and shapes. Simple lines, repeating patterns, ornate flourishes, symmetrical grids, trefoils, fleur-de-lis, and realistic elements like leaves or woodland creatures are just some of the wonderful designs you will find. A wrought iron trellis gives the eye a focal point—and thus a resting place—when viewing the landscape as a whole. At the same time, it creates an accessory accent in your landscape design. We most often recommend that wrought iron trellises be paired with plants, usually a vine. It gives these plants an attractive and acceptable place to climb to a higher plane. We have also placed them in an open area to provide elevation and relieve any monotony.

When selecting a material type for a trellis in Houston, an important consideration is its durability. Since it is outdoors, it must withstand the rigors of our weather, from the summer’s simmering heat to the occasional freeze. Even if it is placed in a covered area, it still has to be able to take our humidity. Among the fine materials we have used, galvanized and powder coated metal is a good choice for our climate.
